Obituary of Christine M. Loyd

Christine M. (Nordin) Loyd, formerly of Watertown Mass, passed away after a short illness on Sunday evening, August 25, 2024. She was 75 years of age. Born in Brookline and raised in Brighton, she was the daughter of the late Charles, and the late Anna (Centola) Nordin. As a military spouse, Christine lived in several states prior to settling in Watertown. She then moved to Tewksbury where she had lived for over 17 years. Christine grew up riding horses, and continued her love for horses throughout her life. She was also an avid reader, and enjoyed traveling. Prior to her retirement in 2019, Christine worked for many years as a collection specialist for CCS Collection Services. Christine is survived by one son, Derek Boucher and his wife Susan of Tewksbury; one daughter, Katie Loyd and her partner Bill Marsh of Burlington; and two granddaughters, Sara and Lily Boucher of Tewksbury. Christine is also survived by her cousins, Betty Kapralski of Burlington, and Robert Todd of Plymouth, as well as several second cousins. Visiting hours will be at the Graham Funeral Home, 3 Arlington Rd., Woburn on Wednesday, August 28 from 4:00-7:00 pm, followed by a celebration of life service at 7:00 pm. The burial service will be a private family service.
