Obituary of Irene Corsetti

Irene Corsetti, long time Groton resident, passed away peacefully at the age of 78 on April 12, 2024 in Pasadena, CA. Her devoted daughter Paula was by her side. Irene was born on September 2,1945 in Quincy, Ma. She was the daughter of George and Pauline Mason and stepdaughter to Catherine Mason. She married the love of her life, Anthony “Tony” Corsetti, in 1965 and they were married for 56 years. They lived in Woburn and eventually settled in Chelmsford where they raised their three children. Irene was a longtime X- ray technician at Lowell General Hospital. They moved to Groton in 1992 where her love of nature was so evident in their beautifully manicured property. Irene’s binoculars were always close by as she loved all the birds and animals that would make their home in her yard. Irene is preceded in death by her adoring husband Tony and her loving son Matthew. Irene is survived by her children, David and his wife Laura of Stratham, NH, and Paula and her husband Thanos of Pasadena, CA. She was a doting grandmother to her four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Irene will be greatly missed by her family, extended family and many friends. A private service and interment will take place at a future date.
