Robert was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. While in the service, he married his love, Norine Kiniry of Arlington and for 68 years they resided in Woburn and raised their three children. Bob was employed for 30 years in sales and marketing of business equipment prior to his retirement. He served as Treasurer of the Notre Dame French Club in North Cambridge for 40 years. Bob was always involved in sports. He was one of the founders of Woburn Youth Hockey in 1965, coaching and officiating hockey and baseball until the late 1970’s. He continued his passion for golf, “chasing par” into his late 80’s. Bob was predeceased by his late wife, Norine. Loving father of one daughter Susan and her husband Charles Murphy of Woburn; and two sons, David Rochon of Arizona and Gerald Rochon and his wife Renae of Arizona. Proud and beloved “Papa Bob” to grandchildren, Michael Murphy and his wife Casey, Megan Murphy and her husband Jonathan Nussman, Robert Rochon and his wife Jordana, William Rochon and his wife Katie and Connor Rochon and his partner Tina Kinnerup; and cherished great grandchildren, Lindsey, Luke and Jack Murphy and Reggie and Liam Rochon.
