Obituary of Kevin A. Smith

Kevin A. Smith, a resident of Woburn for 42 years, passed away suddenly at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, on Tuesday, June 27. He was 68 years of age. Kevin was born in Boston, Massachusetts on March 17, 1955 the son of the late Ralph T. and Ann F. (Liston) Smith. Kevin was a graduate of Stoneham High School class of 1973, and a graduate of UMass Boston with a degree in English. Kevin was proudly involved in Woburn Public Schools, including being the past President Kennedy Middle School PTO. He loved going on adventures with his family, especially to Disney! He was an avid bowler, and an official graduate of Clown College, where he became Jelly the clown. Kevin was the husband of Mona (Oddo) Smith. Father of Josh S. Smith and his wife Jessica Zdon-Smith of Chelmsford and Belinda H. Smith and her partner Michael McConnell of Woburn. He was the proud grandfather of Owen Smith. He was the brother of Ralph Smith, and his wife Moira, Edward Smith, and his wife Karen, Stephen Smith, and his wife Cathy, Anne Palmariello, and her husband Joseph Palmariello, Patricia Chines, and her husband Fran Chines, Brian Smith, Dennis Smith, and his wife Stephani. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Kevin’s funeral will be held from the Graham Funeral Home 3 Arlington Rd. Woburn on Saturday, July 1 at 9am followed by a funeral Mass at St. Charles Borromeo Church 280 Main St. Woburn at 10am. Burial will follow at Woodbrook Cemetery in Woburn. Funeral home visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4-9pm.
