Obituary of Claire A. Hicks
Claire A. Hicks, of Billerica, formerly of Lowell and Woburn, passed away on Sunday evening, March 5 at the Lifecare Center of Merrimack Valley in Billerica after a short illness. She was 87 years of age.
Born and raised in Woburn, she was one of twelve children of the late Walter, and the late Leona (Cyr) Hicks.
Claire worked as a waitress at the former Skip’s Restaurant in Chelmsford prior to her retirement. She loved spending time with her friends and neighbors at her building in Billerica. Claire enjoyed playing Keno and cards, and cheering for the Red Sox and Bruins. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.
Claire is survived by her son, Victor Sanchez, Jr. and his wife Patti of Billerica; and she was preceded in death by her two daughters, the late Terry Doran, and the late Rose Baxendale; and she was the former wife of Victor Sanchez, Sr. Claire is also survived by six grandchildren, Jason Decker, Walter McMahon and his wife Diana, Krystin Sanchez, Victor Joshua Sanchez, Danielle Sanchez, and Justin Sweeney; two great grandchildren, Tristan Decker and Ayla McMahon; and she is further survived by her sister, Catherine Mallinson, and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be at the Graham Funeral Home, 3 Arlington Rd., Woburn on Monday morning, March 13 from 10:00-11:00 am, followed by a funeral service at the funeral home at 11:00 am.
