Obituary of Elsa Nuñez

Elsa Nuñez, a loving mother, abuelita and great grandmother, passed away on January 7 at the age of 86. Elsa was born in 1936 in Olanchito, Honduras. Early on in her life she moved to La Ceiba, Honduras with her family where she developed her professional career as a Nurse. Later on in her life she moved to the USA where she worked tirelessly until she was able to bring her children and grandchildren to Massachusetts. Elsa was predeceased by her 16 brothers and sisters. Elsa lived for the Lord, her church family, her kids and cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved planning events and bringing everyone together to build memories. She loved to read the Bible and pray every morning. She enjoyed fellowship with friends and writing letters. Elsa’s attention to detail and style was like no other. Elsa Nuñez was the caring mother of Alfonso Tomé and Gloria Tomé of Gilbert, AZ, Ada Tomé and Miguel López of Everett, MA, Leslie Maribel Guevara and Felix Guevara of Leominster, MA. She was the loving abuelita to Hori Tomé and Haydee Perdomo, Nuria and Wilbur Caminero, Jennifer and Edwin Mercado, Zhenia and Johan Villa, Gina and Freddy Lopez, Josue Tomé, Daniel Guevara, Vanessa Guevara and Armando Santín. Elsa was the cherished Great Grandmother to Christian, Gabriel, Isabel, Anabel, Amelia, Kiah, Abigail, Emma, Valentina and Winter. Visiting hours will be held at Graham Funeral Home, 3 Arlington Rd. Woburn, MA on Thursday, January 12, from 6pm-8pm. A Christian Service will be held at Mount Hope Christian Church at 3 McGinnis Drive on Friday, January 13 from 10am-11am.
