Obituary of Robert H. McEachern
Robert H. McEachern, of Malden, formerly of Winthrop, passed away at his home after a lengthy illness on Friday, January 6. He was 87 years of age.
Born and raised in Winthrop, he was the son of the late Herman Joseph McEachern, and the late Gertrude Ellen (Wells) McEachern. Robert was a graduate of Winthrop High School, and the Wentworth Institute of Technology, where he earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Robert was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, serving as a Radio Repairman from 1957-1960. He then went on to work for Epsco Corporation as an Electronics Technician, retiring after 30 years.
Robert was a former member of the Revere Elks Lodge. He was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed watching the Bruins and Patriots; and he loved to travel.
Robert is survived by his longtime companion of over 30 years, Sandra Graustein. He is also survived by his sister, Eileen Redican of California; and he was predeceased by two sisters, the late Patricia Magrath, and the late Jeanette Murray. Robert is further survived by nine nieces and nephews, and eleven great-nieces and nephews.
