Yesterday, a warm early Spring day, I came upon Mary's Gravestone at the West lawn Cemetery in Woburn, MA. I visit that cemetery with my brother Jimmy often. Our parents are buried there. I was incredulous, shocked and deeply saddened to see that she had passed away almost a year past. How could this be? I read the obituary about Mary's life. The description expressed her altruistic soul. I observed her desire to help others when she saw that it was necessary. She helped me twice that way back in high school. Both times with a part time job: getting it and lining up union rep support to iron out a misunderstanding with management. Both times I was young and too naive to achieve either issue by myself. With that job , I was able to help pay for college. Huge. I'll never forget that. I wasn't a good friend of hers, but, she knew who I was. She knew my family, I had been to her house with my mother a couple of time as a young teen. We were members of the Greek Church community as well. I always thought of her as being so cool and brave and smart. God bless you Mary. I wish I was able to see you again before you left. Thank you for being a small but important part of my life.

To all Mary’s very Greek family. Just now heard of her passing.we hung out back in junior high.Always a big smile on her face and always able to handle any problems with ease .She recently connected with me after 50 years about the reunion She was so exited to bring everyone together.God Bless You Mary.
