Obituary of Amy (Miner) Long
Amy (Miner) Long, a lifelong resident of Woburn, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 26. She was 47 years of age.
Born and raised in Woburn, she was the daughter of William and Carol (Fitzsimmons) Miner of Woburn; and she was the wife of the late Edward F. Long. Amy was a graduate of Woburn High School, and Salem State College where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.
She was a soccer player both at Woburn High, and while she was at Salem State. She loved fishing, star gazing, and gardening in her spare time. She had recently returned to school to earn her Paralegal Certification. Amy was a devoted and loving mother to her daughter Stephanie.
In addition to her parents, Amy is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Long of Woburn; and she is survived by her fiancé Jim Pysczynski of Woburn. Amy is also survived by one sister, Elizabeth Humphrey and her husband Paul of Woburn; one aunt, Margaret Ficociello of Woburn; and her niece and goddaughter, Jenna Humphrey of Woburn.
A funeral service will be held at the Graham Funeral Home, 3 Arlington Rd., Woburn on Thursday, December 30 at 10:00 am. Visiting hours will be at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, from 4:00-8:00 pm. Interment will be at the Woodbrook Cemetery in Woburn.
