Rosemarie Lichoulas

Obituary of Rosemarie (DeMarco) Lichoulas

Rosemarie (DeMarco) Lichoulas of Woburn passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, September 16, with her husband Richard by her side. Rosemarie was born in Malden to Salvatore and Margaret DeMarco. After graduating from Malden High School and attending business school, she began her career with Eastern Airlines at Logan and then moved on to Delta Airlines where she met many life-long friends (“The Deltoids”). Delta Airlines provided a passport to the world for Rosemarie and she took full advantage of it. She claimed to have traveled around the world at least twice! She enjoyed reminiscing about her travel adventures including visiting the Forbidden City and the Great Wall of China with Richard, to Carnevale in Venice, Mardi Gras in New Orleans, rode a camel to visit inside the pyramids in Egypt with some of the Deltoids, and on countless other adventures to all corners of the globe. After marrying Richard in 2005, Rosemarie relocated to Woburn where she spent time caring for her mother Margaret, whom she adored and took on adventures closer to home. Richard and Rosemarie enjoyed working together in their yard coaxing their many ornamental plants to grow and blossom. Rosemarie will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her laughter, her green thumb, and especially her love for Richard, their family and many dear friends. She was a very caring and loving person and gave her time and attention generously. Rosemarie is survived by her devoted husband, Richard; her brother Robert DeMarco and his wife Deborah; her sister, Linda DeMarco; Aunt Jennie (Joan) Uglietta; cousin Sandra Biancardi and husband Frank and their four children; Aunt Eva Lichoulas, aunt Kitty Callahan; dear friends Deb and Phil Vinciguerra, Deb and Rick Little, Chris Watson-Byrne, “The Deltoids”, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Visiting hours will be held at the Graham Funeral Home, 3 Arlington Road, Woburn from 4 – 8 pm on Wednesday, Sept. 22. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, September 23 at 10:00 am. Burial will be at Woodbrook Cemetery in Woburn. The family request that face coverings be worn.
