Obituary of Joan L Graham
Joan L. (O’Rourke) Graham, 68, of Hooksett, NH, passed away at her home on Friday morning, September 13. She was the beloved wife of Albert “Al” Graham.
Born in Everett and raised in Woburn, she was the daughter of the late Peter, and the late Lillian F. (MacDonald) O’Rourke.
Joan was a graduate of Woburn High School, Class of 1969. Joan and her husband Al were longtime residents of New Hampshire, moving there from Woburn when they were married.
Joan was a Licensed Nurse’s Assistant, and had worked at the St. Joseph Residence Nursing Home in Manchester, NH prior to her retirement. She was also a volunteer for the American Red Cross, and was active with their blood donation programs.
In addition to her husband Al, Joan is survived by two sons, Keith A. Graham of Watertown, Wisconsin, and Robert E. Graham of Hooksett, NH. She is also survived by four brothers, Peter, Stephen, David, and John O’Rourke; one sister, Susan Perkins; and she was preceded in death by her sister, the late Janice Damon.
A funeral service will be held at the Graham Funeral Home, 3 Arlington Rd., Woburn on Wednesday, October 2 at 11:30 am. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10-11:30 am. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joan’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701
