Obituary of George Wouralis

George Wouralis, 83, of Lexington, passed away after a lengthy illness on Monday evening, September 30. He was the husband of Toula (Karalekas) Wouralis. Born in Somerville, he was the son of the late Daniel, and the late Maria Wouralis. George was a graduate of Tufts University, where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering. George worked as an Engineer for the Department of Defense at Hanscom Air Force Base for 33 years prior to his retirement. In addition to his beloved wife Toula, George is survived by one daughter, Maria Wouralis of Woburn; two sons, Daniel Wouralis and his wife Marina of Lexington, and Christos Wouralis of Melbourne Beach, Florida. He is also survived by six grandchildren, James, Nikki, Halle, Christos, Jr., Alex, and Toula; and one brother, Peter Wouralis and his wife Ethel of Coral Gables, Florida. A funeral service will be held at the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 17 Meriam St., Lexington on Saturday, October 5 at 10:00 am. An hour of visitation will be prior to the service at the church from 9:00-10:00 am. Burial will be at the Westview Cemetery in Lexington.
