Obituary of Donald McLatchy

Donald McLatchy, 74, of Woburn, passed away Sunday morning, October 13 after a 2-year battle with cancer. Born August 13, 1945, he was the eldest son of the late William & late Helen (Hodge) McLatchy of Woburn. Donald was a lifelong resident of Woburn where he attended Woburn Public Schools, raised his children and ran his vinyl siding business, McLatchy & Sawyer Home Improvement for over 30 years. In his younger years, Donald could always be found outdoors, whether standing on staging repairing a home, tending to his garden or sitting on the front porch. In more recent times he would often be seen reading the sports page while sitting by Horn Pond or at the local field watching a youth baseball game. Donald is survived by his two daughters, Alison Bryer and Eliza Lucas; his four grandchildren Jacob, Abigail, Amelia and Caroline; two siblings, John McLatchy of NH and William McLatchy III of ME and their families; and preceded in death by his sister, Velma (Mickey) McLatchy. Visiting hours will be held at Graham Funeral Home, 3 Arlington Rd., Woburn on Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 10:00 am, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am. Lunch will be held at the Woburn City Athletic Club following the memorial service.
