Obituary of Lynne L. Greene
Lynne L. (O’Connor) Greene, of Woburn, passed away peacefully after a short illness on Sunday morning, January 25, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was 72 years of age.
Born in Waltham and raised in Woburn, she was the daughter of the late Joseph O’Connor, and the late Loraine (Schofield) O’Connor Scully; and she was the beloved wife of Paul H. Greene.
Lynne was a graduate of Woburn High School, Class of 1971. After graduating from Woburn High School, Lynne earned her nursing degree and began her career at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. While caring for others came naturally to her, she later discovered her true passion in interior design. Lynne went on to open her own interior design business, which she proudly owned and operated for over 20 years. She found deep joy in helping others transform their houses into homes they truly loved. Today her legacy continues as her oldest son, Duke carries on her business. As the saying goes if you do something you love you don’t work a day.
Lynne cherished time spent vacationing with her family, especially by the ocean. The beach brought her peace and happiness. She particularly loved the yearly trips to Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, shared with her children and grandchildren. Gardening was another source of joy. She took great pride in making her yard a beautiful and welcoming space.
Above all else, Lynne was a devoted and beloved mother, wife, nana, and sister. She rarely missed a game or event, lovingly supporting any sport her children or grandchildren played. She treasured weekly date nights with her husband, Paul, and found her greatest happiness simply being surrounded by family.
In addition to her husband Paul, Lynne is survived by two sons, Paul “Duke” Greene of Woburn and his wife, the late Desiree Nowell, Doug Greene and his girlfriend Ashley Hulme of Waltham; two daughters, Michelle Morales and her boyfriend Carlton Nance of Woburn, and Jacqui Walbourne and her husband Daniel of Woburn. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Samuel, Aaron, Emma, Lily, Corinne, and Liam; and one sister, Bridget MacMillan and her husband Scott.
Visiting hours will be held at the Arthur P. Graham Funeral Home, 3 Arlington Rd., Woburn on Friday, January 30 from 4:00-7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Barbara’s Church, 138 Cambridge Rd., Woburn on Saturday, January 31 at 10:00 am. Interment will be private.
