Obituary of Marlene N. McCusker

Marlene McCusker, of Malden, passed away after a long illness with her family and dearest friends by her side on Sunday morning, February 16, 2025. She was 54 years of age.

Born in Cambridge and raised in Chelsea, she was the daughter of the late Wayne J. and the late Carol N. (Bettencourt) McCusker.

Marlene had a zest for life and embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm and joy. She worked for many years in the finance industry, most recently dedicating 28 years to MFS Investment Management. She loved to travel throughout the United States and abroad with her “travel buddy” Sylvia, always seeking new experiences and adventures.

Marlene is survived by her son, Kevin Papa, Jr. of Malden; and her grandson, Travis Papa. She is also survived by her siblings, Wayne McCusker of Lowell, Rose McCusker of South Carolina, Joseph McCusker of Holbrook, and Adrienne McCusker of Nashua, NH. Marlene is further survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be at the Arthur P. Graham Funeral Home, 3 Arlington Rd., Woburn, on Thursday morning, February 20, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm; followed by a graveside service at Calvary Cemetery, 686 Washington St., Winchester, at 12:30 pm.
