Lynne was our dear friend. My husband Steve and I had the honor of being invited to celebrate her and Paul´s wedding anniversary for many years on mid-February weekends at the Ashford in Hampton Beach. Each year we got adjoining rooms, laughed, acted silly, ate, drank and sang like a bunch of kids. More than once we actually walked the snowy beach, weathering snow storms and February cold. Lynne always gave me a few long stemmed red roses from the annual gift Paul brought each year. We sang songs (especially "Summer Wind´), ate shrimp cocktail and snacks in the room, had an annual dinner at the Old Salt by the fireplace, danced the night away at the club downstairs, shopped at the outlets, gambled at the dog track, and just enjoyed each other. All wonderful memories we cherish. Sanatra songs make me think of Lynne, but more than that, every time I see winter waves on the ocean I will remember my friend with a smile and gratitude for the privilege of knowing her.
