Frequently Asked Questions...

How much do funerals cost?
Funeral costs will vary greatly, depending on the services and merchandise chosen.  We offer "Simple Cremation" packages starting from $2495, which includes local transportation, alternative container, crematory fee, medical examiner's fee, and the local disposition permit.
We also offer "Simple Burial" packages starting from $2195, which includes local transportation, alternative container, and the local disposition permit.  Our "Simple Burial with Casket Selected" package starts from $2040, plus the cost of a casket selected from our funeral home.  The "Simple Burial" packages do not include cemetery fees or an outer burial container.

Can I use a casket that I purchase somewhere else?
Yes.  You are not required to purchase the casket from our funeral home.  However, it has been our experience that you will often end up spending more  for the same, or similar casket when purchasing it from a third party.

Is embalming required by law?
No.  Embalming is not required by law.  However, embalming may be necessary if you select certain funeral arrangments, such as a funeral or visitation with viewing.  If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not necessitate embalming, such as direct cremation, immediate burial, or our "Simple Cremation" or "Simple Burial" packages.  It is the policy of the Arthur P. Graham Funeral Home to require embalming when viewing in our funeral home has been requested.
