Arthur P. Graham Funeral Home Coronavirus Statement

Updated 3/22/2021

Honoring and remembering a life are what we are all about.  The health and safety of the families we serve are first and foremost in our minds during this time.

Like many of you, we have been closely following the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).  Following guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA), we are taking proactive measures to help prevent spread of potential illness, and keep our facilities safe and ready to serve you and your families:

Effective March 22, 2021; in compliance with the Governor's executive order, our facility is limited to 50 persons. Outdoor gatherings (including cemeteries) are limited to 150 persons. (individual cemetery capacity limits may vary.)  Face coverings are required.

Our staff will make environmental cleaning procedures top priority.  Every hour, all door handles, knobs, faucets, toilets, and any other “high touch” surfaces will be diligently cleaned with a commercial grade disinfectant agent.

Hand Sanitizer, tissues, hand soap and warm water will be available.

Our staff will monitor the number of individuals congregating in our rooms.  If this number becomes excessive, we will kindly ask that conversations be moved and continued in another area.

What we ask of you:

If you are experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms including fever, cough or shortness of breath, or have been in contact with or have recently traveled to any of the affected countries; please refrain from visiting our funeral home at this time.  Do not complicate the family’s grief by exposing them to illness.  Once this all settles down, there will be plenty of opportunities to visit friends and family.

Please limit your personal contact with others.  Hugs, handshakes, and the personal touch are how we show we care.  But until this subsides, show you care by refraining from any contact with those attending funerals.

Please consider limiting your time present.  Find the family members you wish to express condolences to, and then move on.

The elderly and those with preexisting conditions are the most vulnerable to viruses.  During these times, we ask for your due diligence if you decide to bring them to public gatherings.

Let’s use common sense!  COVID-19 may be new, but the age-old and time-tested procedures we should all be following to minimize its impact on our community are not.
